For Care-Givers: Restore and Rejuvenate


Release stress and replenish vitality. Restorative Yoga is an especially nurturing and gentle practice and is very beneficial to those in caretaking positions or with special health needs or physical limitations. In this 2 hr respite, you will learn to use pillows and props to support the body and discover restorative postures that are calming, soothing, and renewing adaptations of classic Hatha Yoga poses. Restorative yoga postures melt away physical and mental tension and deeply rest the mind and body. Open yourself to a practice of "being" rather than "doing." -Please bring 1 pillow and 2 blankets & eye pillow(if you have one). - Pre-Registration requested-$35(members) $45(non-members)

In this beginner friendly setting we will learn and perform simple yoga exercises and easy  acupressure techniques that help relax tense muscles, release stress, improve circulation. YOGA for Back Pain

Back pain is increasingly a problem for many adults. Since yoga postures aim to strengthen the spine as well as lengthen and stretch muscles, it can be ideal for many back pain sufferers. This 2hr retreat will walk the student through a series of poses designed to target the back muscles. Your back will feel amazing after this class, and with a bit consistency you could see back aches reduced or even eliminated completely! Note: Back pain could be the result of serious problem, consult your physician before beginning this program to see if yoga is appropriate for you.   $35(members) $45(non-members)

MEDITATION

Meditation leads us not only to totally new inner experiences, but helps us also to transform our day-to-day life into a better, more meaningful and more fulfilling existence. Reading about meditation is not sufficient, we need to practice and learn the art of meditation. This workshop offers an introduction into a variety of playful methods, including active meditation and silent meditation practices. -$20(members)$30(non-members). Pre-registration required. Dress in warm layers and bring pillow & blanket.
